Membership Opportunities
 
All persons seeking to be saved from their sins and sincerely desiring to be Christian in faith and practice are proper candidates for full membership in the United Methodist Church.

This is accomplished by one of the following ways:

Profession of Faith
Persons who have confessed their faith in Christ and made known their desire to assume the obligations of membership, following the Sacrament of Baptism, may be enrolled as full members.

Affiliate Membership
This is offered to members of another United Methodist Church and who are attending Forrest Burdette temporarily.

 

Certificate of Transfer
A member in good standing in any Christian denomination who has been baptized may be received into membership by a certificate of transfer.
Associate Membership
This is offered to persons who are members of another denomination and who are attending Forrest Burdette temporarily.

For youth in grade 6 and beyond to help prepare for full membership

First Step Orientation Classes
For adults seeking a more comprehensive understanding of the United Methodist Church

Membership Reception Sunday
Held the second Sunday of each month, is designated to receive new members. Arrangements may be made by contacting one of the pastors.
