Community Cupboard

The Community Cupboard is a coordinated effort among the churches in the Hurricane area to provide immediate food relief for families. A family receives a three day's supply of food once a month. Each church takes a turn for a month at a time staffing the Cupboard. The Cupboard is open Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m.-noon.

Tape Ministry

Audio and video tapes are available of the worship service. Tapes for general use may be picked up in the Narthex. Cassette tapes are delivered to the ill and shut-in weekly.

Additional Ministries


Wednesday Fellowship Dinners
Dinner is offered every Wednesday evening (September - May) from 5:15-6:30 p.m. This low cost meal provides an opportunity for families to participate in the regular Wednesday activities without having to rush home and fix dinner first.

Scouts
Cub Scout Pack #236 meets every Monday night at 6:30 p.m.. Cub scouting is open to all boys grades 1-5.

Boy Scout Troop #236 meets every Tuesday night at 7:00 in Wesley Hall. The Scoutmaster is Rick Koontz. Contact the church office to learn more.

Preventicare
Preventicare is a low-mobility exercise program designed to encourage a lifestyle with the capacity to alleviate some of the symptoms of aging. The Preventicare group meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Parenting Ministry
Our Parenting Ministry at Forrest Burdette offers various support groups, workshops, and classes throughout the year as well as an active ministry to new parents at the time of birth.

Small Groups
One of the goals of our church is to see each church member actively involved in a small group designed to provide fellowship, study, prayer, mission, and spiritual growth. Various groups have already organized and meet throughout the week. To get involved in an existing group or to start a new group, contact the church office and talk with Dan Hogan.
