What is the Good News Club?
The following article appeared in Visions for October 2008:

Here is your opportunity to give back to the community! . . . This program is for all children in grades one through five regardless of religious background. We meet on the second and last Tuesday of each month from 2:45pm to 4:30pm, in the Hurricane Elementary Cafeteria/Gym.

Good News Club is exciting and fun- filled with
school

Students will learn lessons from the Bible and how to apply biblical principals to their lives. “(16) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (17) so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV

As with all CEF ministries, the purpose of after-school Good News Clubs is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. To accomplish this goal, our club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and an opportunity for children to trust Jesus as Savior. Our club also includes strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth. All children are encouraged to attend a local church.

We need Good News Club Volunteers

Our Outreach Mission Team has been instrumental in reaching out to the community and now we need your help to make the Good News Club successful. There are several different ways you can help, such as teaching the children the Gospel, preparing snacks, getting children from their classrooms to the cafeteria, helping with restroom breaks, down to just sitting and interacting with the children during the lessons. . . . We need your support!
